The district judge due to sentence controversial singer Pete Doherty adjourned his hearing today to give him a chance to kick his drug habit, his lawyer said.
Doherty, 28, is facing a possible jail sentence for drug and motoring offences.
He did not appear in court but his solicitor, Sean Curran, of Guney Clark Ryan solicitors, said Doherty would now be able to fit in an aftercare drugs rehabilitation plan before appearing at West London Magistrates' Court on October 26.
